Along with AM360, DSI's efforts support various strategic initiatives at Indiana University through data centric products that include financial analysis tools, report centers and information self-service systems including:
University Employee Headcount Reporting
This project provides a single, easily accessible data source for employee headcount and FTE information. Through a series of dashboards, executives and university administrators can see view trend information over time by a variety of employee characteristics to evaluate employee composition and counts as well as to determine factors that may drive change.
Goals & outcomes
Examples of questions to be answered by this project:
- What are the factors driving employee growth and decline? Are they pervasive or concentrated in certain areas?
- Are the programs that have been implemented to improve the diversity of the workforce effective?
- Are formal succession plans needed to address an aging workforce? If so, what locations and what employment categories?
Organizational Mapping
This tool maps academic plans and subject codes to KFS/HRMS orgs in order to reflect the hierarchical managerial ownership of a student major or particular class. All AM360 content has been filtered through this mapping structure to allow the organizational hierarchy structures to be combined across data sources and essentially align KFS, HRMS and SIS orgs to support cross application integration of data.
Decision Support (DS.IU) Center
DS.IU uses the One.IU framework and provides a central location for accessing reports and dashboards. Simply search, click, and launch. Reports can also be badged, rated, and grouped into Report Centers.
